Cancelling or downgrading
What actually happens to your account and your data when you cancel or move to a smaller plan.
Cancelling
There's no cancel button inside Tradentrix itself, it's done through Stripe's billing portal, opened from "Update payment method" on the Billing tab. Once you cancel, your account stays fully active until the end of your current billing period, there's no immediate cut-off and no refund for the unused part of the month. After that, your data is kept for 30 days before being permanently deleted, so there's a window to change your mind or export anything you need before it's gone for good.
Downgrading to a smaller plan
You can't downgrade past what you're currently using, the change is blocked rather than something being removed for you automatically. Depending on what's over the limit, you'll see one of these:
- If you've got extra users or storage add-ons and the new plan doesn't support them: "Please remove your extra users and storage add-ons in Billing before switching to this plan."
- If you've got more team members than the new plan allows: "This plan supports up to X team members, but you currently have Y. Remove team members before switching."
- If you're using more storage than the new plan includes: "This plan includes XGB storage, but you're currently using YGB. Delete some documents before switching."
Once you're back under the new plan's limits, whether that's removing a team member, deleting some documents, or dropping your add-ons, the switch will go through.
